Day One: Pickup and Transfer to Nyungwe for Canopy Walk
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali at 6:30 AM. The drive to Nyungwe National Park in the southwest is about 230 km and takes 5-6 hours, including a stop for lunch. You will arrive at Uwinka Visitor’s Center by around 2:30 PM for the breathtaking canopy walk, offering sweeping views of the ancient rainforest, hills, tea plantations, and dense vegetation.
In the evening, check in for dinner and overnight at a 2 or 3-star hotel.

Day Two: Chimpanzee Trekking, Bird Watching & Transfer Back to Kigali
Early in the morning, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off for chimpanzee trekking. Along the way, you may spot various other primates and colorful birdlife—Nyungwe boasts over 300 bird species, with 29 endemic to the Albertine Rift. After your adventure, you'll be driven back to Kigali and dropped off at your hotel.

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 70% of the total cost of the tour is required. And the balance of 30% has to be paid 30 days before the tour start date. If the booking is being confirmed within 30 days to the tour start date, then the total tour cost should be paid in full.
Any cancellation must be done via the email of Thinko Travel and Tourism, and the cancellations for paid bookings will be refunded less the cancellation fees for administration cost and other costs as below: You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.
• Cancellation fee of 30% if the tour is cancelled within 30 days and above prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the tour is cancelled between 16 and 30 days prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the tour is cancelled within 15 days and less prior to the arrival date The refund will be done to the same account and using the same mode which was used for the payments. Note that there is no refund in the event of a no show for the existing reservations.
