One of the oldest rainforests in Africa, Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. The mountainous region is teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including the Lhotse’s monkey endemic to the Albertine Rift. Despite the canopy walkway, it is a perfect paradise for the discerning travelers in search of the quiet place to reconnect with themselves and nature.

At 6:00 AM, We will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali towards Nyungwe National Park, south west. 

The distance between Kigali and Nyungwe National park is approximately 230 Km, and the duration for a trip is between 5-6 hours, including a lunch break on the way to the park. 

By reaching the Uwinka visitor’s center in Nyungwe, registration will be done and go for the canopy walk tour to over view the beauty of this tropical rainforest, beautiful hills, tea plantations, impenetrable areas. After that experience, we will drive back to Kigali to your hotel

Safari exclusions:

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 70% of the total cost of the tour is required. And the balance of 30% has to be paid 30 days before the tour start date. If the booking is being confirmed within 30 days to the tour start date, then the total tour cost should be paid in full.

Any cancellation must be done via the email of Thinko Travel and Tourism, and the cancellations for paid bookings will be refunded less the cancellation fees for administration cost and other costs as below: You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges. 

 • Cancellation fee of 30% if the tour is cancelled within 30 days and above prior to the arrival date;

 • Cancellation fee of 50% if the tour is cancelled between 16 and 30 days prior to the arrival date; 

• Cancellation fee of 100% if the tour is cancelled within 15 days and less prior to the arrival date The refund will be done to the same account and using the same mode which was used for the payments. Note that there is no refund in the event of a no show for the existing reservations.
